True, that would reduce the auctioneer's load and break things into more manageable chunks. Ascalon though should maybe be for non-max items, since that is what ppl just come from pre-searing need most, and Droks has always been the best for high-end materials, since so much armor crafting goes on there. hmm... maybe Ascalon for collector/quest items, if that's easier to implement than non-max?
I still like the idea of linking cities through the auction though, so perhaps if it could be easily implemented, one city in each continent could be linked to a "sister" city in the other, such as Droks and Kaieng, since they have the max armor, and Ascallon and Shing Jea Monastery, since it's the starting point for characters in their respective continents?

heh -- whenever I see too much selling going on in the ALL channel I send out a message "BOYCOTT the noobs not using the trade channel" -- I usually don't go for gratuitous insults, but the wording seems to have an effect on the sellers after a few splashes. No seller wants to loose a sale by not following conventions, if they're reminded of it.

True, 10 seconds in general would be a bit fast, except for in districts like Lion's Arch and Droknar's Forge... perhaps 30 seconds is a good time to wait, although the auction price would go up and the timer restarted as soon as someone would accept a price, therefore the price would at times go up in less than 10 seconds. perhaps even 45 seconds or even 1 minute would not be too long a wait when the aution doesn't have many ppl waiting to aution their items. If the waiting list to aution is long, perhaps the time would be reduced at those times to allow the next auctions to happen.

also, remember to put in a favorites tab to moniter the bids you placed so that you dont have to search for the same item more than once, though somone might have mentioned it before in the 11 pages before.

Selling things is a pain in this game. The AH is one of the very few things I actually miss about WOW.
